I know that when you contact me you will have seen some of my work either on Facebook, here on my website or via a friend or family members wedding photographs. You may even have met me at a wedding fair. You will probably contact me because you like what you have seen but I need to ensure that you also like me as you will be spending much of your wedding day with me not far away, although of course I do try very hard to be as unobtrusive as possible.
My love of photography started with my photography "A" level at sixth form college in Basingstoke, Hampshire. I went on to study fine art painting at Carmarthen College in South Wales and eventually moved to Cardiff where I used my photographic skills to work as a wedding portrait artist before moving into wedding and portrait photography as a career in 2010. Wedding photography has turned out to be the perfect combination of just about everything I love about photography.
One really important aspect of a wedding is that the couple getting married enjoy their day. They have put their hearts and souls into organising the day, whether it is just them, and yes I have photographed a wedding where there was just the couple and I was one of the witnesses, to a great big elaborate event with all their family, friends, neighbours and colleagues. Few couples want to spend the day having hundreds of photographs posed and taken, but they do want an accurate record of their day with lots of "moments" they may have missed.
I believe it is vitally important to be honest and upfront at all times. You can ask me any questions at all about your photography and I will endeavour to ensure you know exactly what you are getting from our first meeting to delivery of your photo book album. Your wedding day is a story in itself that I have the privilege of telling from the beginning to your first dance together as Mr and Mrs.
My art background is the foundation of my business. My wedding photography packages are beautiful, affordable and down to earth. Most weddings follow a traditional pattern and therefore my photography combines, natural, formal and candid shots. Being a "girl" I can blend in easily during the bridal preparation photographs even capturing the bride getting into her wonderful dress.
Formal shots can take as long as you like but I am able to take them within about an hour and a half including the bride and groom on their own, leaving you to enjoy the rest of your day. The lovely thing about the couples more formal photographs is the time it gives you away from the group to just have a chat and a giggle together. During the rest of the day I will photograph the customary and more unconventional moments along with all the smiles in between.
